Hans Diebschlag

Hans Diebschlag is an artist painting mainly with oils and oil / tempera mixes using traditional glazing or overlay techniques. He also works with watercolour and watercolour / tempera mixes.  He produces figurative works rich in symbolism and detail. His subject matter often reflects an interest in the spiritual with juxtapositions of eastern and western stories and motifs.

Hans trained at Frankfurt's Staedel Art Academy and lives and works in Sussex, England. He has exhibited internationally since 1982 and his paintings are in private, commercial and municipal collections worldwide.
