Hans Diebschlag is a painter who works mainly with oils and oil / tempera mixes using traditional glazing or overlay techniques. He paints figurative pictures rich in symbolism and detail. His subject matter often reflects an interest in the spiritual with juxtapositions of eastern and western stories and motifs. Hans was born in Germany and trained at the Staedel Art Academy in Frankfurt, for more than thirty years he has lived and worked in England.
His work has been exhibited internationally since 1982 and his paintings are in private, corporate and municipal collections worldwide.
